If I recall correctly the new player controller does percentages by time when eating, drinking etc. I think this would be awesome so it doesn't feel like your just spamming an RNG.

It isn't so much the throwing its like the item hits you or something that causes the knockout. In arma 3 if you are hit by a car but not fast enough to kill you itll put you in a similar "knocked out" state.

And thus a quick temporary fix in the meantime should be fine.

The problem is they just sit in there wait for someone and jump out, shoot them loot and jump back in

Most armies dropped the use of the SKS and the only time that iv'e ever really seen them being used is for ceremonial purpose when the army is parading around.

In reality the SKS should be a civilian firearm AKMs and AK-74/74-U should be spawning in those tents. Also rebeliant brings up a valid point. People need to pickup the SKSs to give something else a chance to spawn. Typically I just do a quick loot to get food and then run north. Once at the airfield I grab an SKS and some ammo from the tents then find someone with a better gun.
