i have the Same Problem
but it happens when you have an item in you Hands and there is no place in inventory
so after like 5-30 min having that item in hand zombies can attack you but you can't and if you drop the item from your hands you cant pick it and need to relog and after relog item is disappeared xD

well today i found 1x M4 in hunting Camp with 2x Barrack at North ( near Tisy ) and after 1 Hour it disappeared from my inventory ( i couldn't attack any zombie or do anything so i logged out and after relog it was not in my inventory )
so after 2 hour i was in Tisy and i didn't find anything but on last 4 Tents i found 2x AK M and 2X Long AK and 2 BackPack on Zombie and 2 Plate Carrier xD

after 6 H of trying to finish a little area of my base ( cause it was bugging ) i finished it but the next day i found some Metal and decide to change the Wall to Metal Version but after dismantle the wooden wall i can't rebuild it with any sort ( Wood -Metal ) i just show the animation but doesnt use any materials so the circle loads but nothing happens
