An ammobox in the middle of nowhere isn't what you find on a typical battlefield, but if you insist on using VAS...
@Johnnie: Soldiers are issued their weapons, but a typical soldier will modify it with a personal choice of attachments, and customization is not limited on the weapon, it extends to personal equipment, like whether you're wearing NV goggles, sunglasses etc..
As a real soldier, I'm allowed to pick my own equipment down (of course with some restrictions). Why shouldn't I be able to change equipment to my liking? I can do it in real life, but not in Arma. Arma is known for realism and why shouldn't you be allowed to pick your equipment by your own? There should be limitations on what you can bring at most, if mission creators want you to only have a specific amount of first aid kits or ammo etc.
How about "Facewear", "Headwear" and "Eyewear", as it is still possible to wear a balaclava, a helmet and glasses at the same time in real life
Great request,to be honest, the destruction of buildings looks butt-ugly in Arma 3
