It happened just like in that video, only in different place. Btw changing server helped for me, forgot to mention it in the bug report.

I drank from a pond, maybe 7 times until the game told my thirst had been quenched. Then maybe 10s later, after I had started running away from the pond I was feeling thirsty again?
