@rogerx, it possible to do like wheel/brakes/engine/auto-rotation features...
And how said Chairborne — if module/script — why not... But it's another thing which allow you controling access to the feature. )

If BIS want stay away from heavy scripting, better realize it like features which i listed above.
Same thing with door opening. Some vechicles have doors, but you need add script in your mission and call it from .sqf, what i think looks really weird...

For example, helicopter has controlled engine, wheels, brakes, auto-rotation, lights etc... But haven't doors... WHY? Same with fast-roping.

What only looks ilogically here is the lack of these features.

P.S. Why not to take this feature from TKOH and add physX?

Check SWAT 4's action menu. It's very easy, light and usable type of UI. Can be used for orders or status rep...
Also, Raven Shield's door opening feature...

Confirm this.

This arrays wont work correctly:
insignia = "\ca\missions_f\data\orbat\7thInfantry_ca.paa";
texture = "\ca\missions_f\data\orbat\customTexture_ca.paa";

On map it looks like clickable transparent square with size symbol above it (dots/stripes etc). On hover it shows tab with name and image which loading by 'insignia' array.
When you click on it and open ORBAT view u will see again clickable transparent square with size symbol again and no background.
I did uploaded example to that ticket "OrbatExamle.Altis.rar"

madsolosniper, only one way here — change engine's parameters. Logically it looks easy to do and not ruin engine at all. Just need human's time and attention. ).
Here is a topic, where u can find enough to understand why w/o modifying of "how" engine "understand" weapon is not possible.... And why that's ilogically for engine. )))
