This has happened to me numerous times over the last few days. After spending several days logging in and out with the same character, I logged out after experiencing a bug where my vision did not return after having a burlap sack removed from my head near the NWAF. I logged out to try and restore my vision, but when I logged back in I was spawned into a fresh character at the beach.

Four of my friends were standing around my character as I logged out, so I know I was not killed.

Very frustrating!
