Did the trick, thanks. Now I just respawned 10 mtrs from shore.

Same is happening to me right now, I've been waiting 2 hrs even trying different servers but still get the "You are unconscious" first then after trying to respawn I get the "You are dead" message, apparently when I hit Esc my view goes under water.
