Experiencing the same issue. I was able to fill my canteen and water bottle from a pond but not from any wells I have came across.

Also, using the splitting axe to cut trees outside of any city does not work. Tried chopping for about a minute and tried speed chopping.

Also, confirmed. Game seems a bit laggy at times, more than usual before the patch.
