no other games i play like battlefield 3, chivalry, xcom, dark souls and various others is having issues.

attempted to run the game with sound devices deactivated since i recently installed a USB-sound device. however, the problem persists even with all sound devices deactivated.

i use the current nvidia 314.14 beta drivers, but the problem persisted even with the current stable version- and older drivers i backrolled too.

all components are factory clocked.
