Confirmed. Same thing happened with regular servers, for me at least.

Just noticed this today too. It wasn't even raining. I was playing on an experimental server. (0.37.115791)

I have a method for this even though I'm not sure if it works 100% of the time. Might not help much in diagnosing the bug but at least it makes it less of a bother for as long as it's around.

1. Try right clicking
2. If 1) doesn't work, press Space and try again
3. If 2) doesn't work, double tap shift
4. If 3) doesn't work, start from the beginning

I'm not sure if steps 3 or 4 work since since 1 and 2 have worked in their current form 100% of the time for me (about 5 times maybe) but I think they're worth a try.
