Missing button command to unjam weapons, very common with pistols.

This is most likely due to the fact that you are using an ax, knife or machete to open the can of food. If you use a can opener you don't "spill" any of it. If it is a piece of fruit or chicken they do have a "freshness" that will affect this as well.
