Might this be a steam related problem? Because steam shuts down every time the game freezes. I would have thought steam would stay open even when the game crashes. It just seemed odd...

I haven't had the chance to try it on vanilla game or any other mod yet. I will try today and write another note here.

Yeah it just froze on an unmodded co-op game again, in like 3 minutes...
