I don't get this issue when connecting to vanilla games or for the matter any other mods for what I have tried if Exile is not enabled. With Exile singleplayer works. The thing is that the vehicle free look says it's disabled but it's actually enabled. Then after some game resets when it starts showing right thing you can disable it again and then it works. It shows it's disabled but is off in ground and on for air. There is some UI bug with game settings. This also happens for stream friendly UI where you can't turn it off.
