I got my binoculars in my hands, raised them and right-clicked. I was looking up at my surroundings, and when I looked through them I was staring at the floor all zoomed in and couldn't look up. I was stuck staring at the floor. I tried again aiming up at the sky and then right-clicking. It aimed me a bit higher than the floor, but still a LOT lower than where I intended to be looking. Same things happened to me, but if i'm in first person, with my binocular in my hand and raised, i'll zoom directetly where i was looking. Third person never work, always staring at my feet.

You have to raise up the binoculars before "aiming down sights", otherwise the camera will still move to the binocs but since the binocs are in your hands and directed towards the ground, you probably won't see anything.

I have the problem:
Standing (c), press right click, he zooms right on the floor, zoomed, I can use the mouse and see all. Only the start-Problem.
Sitting (x), press right click, he zooms to the right on the floor and can't move the binocular and see only zoomed pixel.

I can confirm this issue.
It seems that there is a very specific way that the binoculars can to be used.
You have to be standing with your hands raised.
When trying to use them in a crouched position your view is pointed at the ground and cannot be moved from there.
The video that huidube has posted shows the difficulty in getting them to work correctly.
I was only able to find them in hardcore so cannot say what it is like using them third person.

I agree with Pvt Ryan. I am able to get them to work under certain conditions.
- Have to be standing.
- Equip Binoculars.
- Hit Space bar to "activate" binoculars. (Move them in front of your face.)
- Right click the mouse to view images at a distance.
If I deviate from the four steps, they don't work. I either see the floor zoomed, or they jump to my eyes and back down in under a second.
