I have use silencer on my M4, there is nothing damage or anything but the noise is just the same than without the silencer and the zombis will listen it even if they are really far away.

I believe the Silencer is not properly implemented I.e. has no effect on in game sound.

In a game like this "realism" a suppressor is only a slight notch down in sound. Especially when not using subsonic rounds.

This may be a bug, but folks should know that a suppressor is not a "silencer" like in the movies and on TV. It dampens the sound somewhat but it is most certainly not a mouse fart.

When i shot with my silenced m4, it sounded like without suppressor. But when I got shot and killed once, and i think it was from a m4 with suppressor, it sounded suppressed. Maybe the sound is ok for players around the suppressor-wielder but not the wielder him/herself?
