Confirmed. Had it happen with full inventory when reloading from 20/20 M4 mag to 10/10.

Had the same thing happen when switching from a 15'ish/20 M4 mag to a 10/10 one.

Had this happen with a stacked STANAG double 30/30, default action was to reload to a 10/10 CMAG, destroyed STANAGs.

Also confirming this happened to me. Reloaded from a 40 round mag to a 10 mag accidentally, which destroyed the 40 mag.

(Note from 2752)

I've reproduced this issue (inventory full) but with a twist:

  1. full inventory
  2. select reload for a magazine inside a case inside inventory (small protector case)
  3. the magazine is loaded from the case
  4. the magazine unloaded disappears (not swapped into case)
  5. the newly loaded magazine in case can now be manipulated with an item link for both remaining inside case and loaded into the M4A1.

It takes some swapping things around to get the magazine to properly be represented by one manipulatable item. However, the original magazine is still lost.

Behavior is defective due to magazine deletion and odd double representation of a single item DB entity. I'm concerned this method could be used for item duping.

Confirmed. I had 4 magazines in my inventory and for some reason the game kept showing the options to reload even though the magazine inserted in my M4 was full. Every time I pressed the F key the reload options appeared, which caused me a lot of unwanted reloading, but it was only after I had a full backpack that a magazine vanished from my inventory.

Workaround for this is to drop both versions of the magazine affected onto the ground, vicinity will remove the duplicate image and you can then re-equip.

If another player picks up your duplicate magazine, they can empty the magazine, even if its inserted into your weapon.

Can confirm the original issue for the full inventory - I do not have access to a case to reproduce that.

Confirmed lost multiple mags already by selecting reload mag instead of opening doors or going up ladders.

Hello,

we are aware of this issue and are already working on a fix.

Please keep monitoring this issue for future updates on the situation.

Thank you for your feedback!

This may have something to do with the protector cases. Upon opening a door I accidentally selected reload (reload should definitely be another key) and the character proceeded to switch out the drum for a banana mag that was inside a protector case in my hunter pack. I didn't have a 2x2 space in my inventory, and the drum mag simply disappeared. I expect it should have, at the least, dropped to my feet.

I have had the same problem but it also happens when you have 4 empty inventory slots which the drum mag could fit in to.

I had 4 empty inventory slots (2x2). I went to drink and pressed reload by mistake. The drum mag didn't go into the empty inventory slots but appeared on the floor besides me (so didn't totally disappear like it does when you have no free inventory slots).
This was also when reloading to a 30 round AKM mag.

Lost THREE drum mags before I figured out what was happening...

Lost both of my drum mags and all of the ammo inside them.

Occurs on Windows 8 as well.

Just had it with akm drum mag for the 2nd time, also nice that when trying to drink from a lake reload magazine decides to popup right before clicking my mouse. Just 5minutes before that my character decided to throw my sniper into the grass never to be found again. gdamn bugs

I see a lot of the same problems coming back with new similar created items. This was also with for example the m4 magazines. How about you guys create a checklist you can go through before putting something into the exp build. Could include for example: check painting, check reloading, check throwing etc.. A little bit of work that will save you a lot of fixing later on, that is fixing that takes more time because you have to go back and study the code again to figure the problem out etc...

It's a mag not a clip.

Lost an enite drum mag for an AKM back in a day....=/
