hello,
I am the saga from Flashpoint. I tested the alpha and beta ARMA 3.Je had stopped playing for proffessional reasons since September 2014 (all are operating normally Altis and Stratis) .I went there a month but surprise surprise Stratis fontione perfectly, while on Atis after 2 to 5 minutes I spend 40 FPS at 5-6 FPS few or the settings.the scenery becomes ugly, it lacks the bodywork on cars, the body becomes faceted characters etc ...
What happens to you. I try all the walkthroughs given on the forums but nothing there.
I already run an application like this, but no return
To my disappointment, return on arma 2 OA

to reproduce the problem I do not know what to tell you other than that. I Demare Arma 3 if I choose an assignment on all fontionne Stratis (I keep my 40fps) and leads the assignment until the end.
But if I choose a mission Altis departing I have 40 FPS and 2 to 5 minutes after the startup of the mission I find myself 5 or 6 FPS.
the fact I play solo (too bad for playing multiplayers)

I think, I know, what your problem is: Your CPU is too weak.
I had the same CPU like you at the release of Arma 3 and experienced experienced low frames per second in one of the showcases ("Helicopters" on Stratis). After I updated my CPU to a i7 3770K (4x 3,40 GHz), I was able to play that showcase with 60+ frames per second (in combination with a 580GTX 3GB).
I recommend an upgrade of your CPU.
No, No, No! Stop telling people to upgrade their PC's. He writted he got high FPS. After such time there is something with code. Try diferent memory allocator
including this https://github.com/fred41/tbbmalloc_arma
Then try to get in game to video setting and select standard setting (overall quality). I remember similar bug in arma 2 and it was referred to video memory. Of course your PC is not rambo, but it can handle it. If it happen after few minutes, it must be memory related.
Hey, your CPU is barely above minimal requirements but i have some solutions that could help you.
First of all, please check your Power Options, just in case:
Go to Control Panel --> Hardware and Sound --> Power Options and make sure it is set to High performance.
Another thing you can do is to set your view distance to 600 - 1200 and shadow distance to 50.
Lastly set all other settings to standard (or low for CPU rendering of the particular feature).
