Description

I attempt to launch the A3 launcher in steam by right clicking on A3 and clicking play and selecting it neither works. It used to work fine. I get no errors, or even a message. {F24564} {F24565} {F24566} {F24567} {F24568} {F24569} {F24570} {F24571}

could you please install these packages? They were supposed to be installed automatically by Steam but for some reason that did not happen:

Hello, and thanks for replying. I was actually guided to these some pages by a post i made on steam about this issue on Steam. I downloaded them all, and ran them to be double sure. The file vcredist_arm.exe gives me a message that says "This app cannot run on your PC, to find a version for your PC, check with the software publisher. I am running windows 8. Other wise everything else ran smoothly, but sadly the launcher still doesn't open.

You may have x86 system, could you please upload your Dx-Diag?

I had this problem too, I found that the launcher works on the current dev build for me, but I don't know if it'll be the same for you.

Thanks for the log. Unfortunately everything looks fine in it.
Could you please post a list of files under "[arma 3 install dir]\Launcher" dir? Steam client sometime fails to download all files.

thanks for the shot. There was an update of stable release (you need to switch arma back to NONE in betas) of the launcher yesterday. Does it work for you?

I switched back to the stable after i learned it did not work and did download the update but it still doesn't work. The Steam loading box (the grey box that says launching "insert game name") holds a little longer but closes with no error

ok, please uploud the logs once again if present:
c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher\Logs\arma3launcher.rpt
and
c:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher\Logs\SteamServiceHost.rpt

There could be also crash minidump file located in:c:\Users\cooper\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher\arma3launcher_2014...mdmp

Im pretty sure i uploaded the right files for the first two, but as far as the the minudump I could not find. All other files are types that cant be upload according to the message i get when i try.

thank you for your patience and cooperation. It looks like the Launcher's settings on your computer are corrupted. Could you please open folder

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Bohemia_Interactive

and move all folders with a name that begins with 'arma3launcher.exe_Url_' to your desktop and then run the Launcher again?

It would be a big help for us if you could send us those folders you moved to the Desktop for the further analysis. If the steps above did not fix your problem, please upload .rpt files from Log folder as you did before.

I moved the folder to the desktop and try to launch it didn't work sadly. I'll upload everything.

Actually i cant figure out how to upload folders, and i cant upload each file. If you give me directions for a way to upload I'll gladly do it.

it's looks like the problem with corrupted settings is solved. The problem now is a corrupted addon cache. Please try moving the file

C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Launcher\Addons.meta

to the Desktop and run the Laucher. (The Launcher will rebuild the cache automatically.)

And again, if you can upload the corrupted Addons.meta file, it would be a huge help to us. If the Launcher won't start after the removal of the cache file, upload new .rpt file.

To send us multiple files or folders at once, you can pack them into ZIP or RAR archive. In Windows move all items into a new folder and then right-click on that folder and select "Send to" and then click on "Compressed (zipped) folder". A new ZIP file (also called compressed folder) is created in the same location. You can then upload that file here.

I moved the file out and it the launcher opened!!! Thank you so much for the help. Probably the best help I've had from a game company. I uploaded the file as a rar and I hope it helps.
