That has a much more advanced and better implemented physics engine than what ArmA 3 has, so i'd say it's impossible to see it in game any time soon.
Maybe because:
a)It's a completely different engine with a better implementation of physics.
b)The summary.
I dont see this adding anything to the game. Remember, this is a BUG tracker and not a Wishlist for all 12-year olds who saw a video of some fancy new game showing off a fancy new feature.
Seriously, what would adding this stuff cause, besides more fps-problems, more netcode issues, more hard work that could be better used elsewhere and people stuck in the mud for hours and hours?
ich666: I'm 33 and have been playing video games since 1986. I'm also an ex us army infantry man. Mud is a part of being a soldier and a part of war!
I agree with AD2001
if you used your brain you'll understand why BIS can't do everything they or we want
While it would be cool, it's just not feasible. Spin Tires is a game where a lot of resources went into developing the physics engine.
If BIS spend all their time on the physics, there'd be very little game left.
rogue warrior: Sorry mate, I didnt mean to insult you, i just wanted to point out the general direction of some posts here.
Agreed would be awesome but certinly not going to happen.
Different game engine and not possible to implement in ARMA3 'RealVirtuality'
Thanks for pointing this game out, it looks really interesting. The vehicle physics look great.
Arma isn't a specialized driving simulator and doesn't really need this level of realism, although it would be fantastic if it could do this. I don't see this working well in a big multiplayer game though. Can you imagine the amount of data required to keep track of dirt and mud shapes over a 270km² map? :)
Hope you understand Rogue, it would have been awesome but sometimes it just has to be this way.
I just tried out Spin Tires. And while it's a step towards realistic terrain physics, it'd be extremely annoying to have in ARMA.
It doesn't feel like mud. It feels like mud in quick sand.
