Action menu options don't show for objects until the player "knows about" the object.
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

When scrolling (action menu) at an object - let's say its a door to a house that you spawned in for a mission - you don't get any options that you should. Instead you have to make your player become aware of the object's existence. A trick I discovered is that you have to right click at the object and make sure you know about it by pressing spacebar and seeing if the cursorTarget shows up.
Once your player knows about the object, then they will get the actions supplied from it.

Same goes with anything, gear, ammoboxes, ladders, doors, vehicles, everything.
Many people think the game is broken when they say "I can't access the ammocrate, your mission is broken.", but then I tell them that they need to right click at it for a bit and then scroll again.

Steps To Reproduce

-Spawn an object such as an ammocrate.
-Scroll at the ammocrate.
-Realize that you can't access it at all.
-Right click at it and press the spacebar to confirm that your player knows about the crate's existence.
-Scroll and you will see that the action is added.

Additional Information

I am the developer of Stratis-RP:Ultimate and this bug/misinterpreted feature has confused EVERY player that has encountered this on my mission, whether it was a door, a ladder, a dropped object that they should be able to pick up, or an ammocrate.

I think that it's good that your character needs to "recognize" the object for an interaction option is available. I hate having 10 separate options to choose from on the mouse wheel menu.

Yes, but the problem is that you have to walk around a crate for 3 mins before recognizing it.

couldn't reproduce

I think it mainly happens with civilians.

Me and my friend has experienced this problem where we have to wait several minutes before we can access inventory from an ammocrate or when i dropped something on the ground for him to pick up.

Upvoted, it's annoying

you can set the knowsabout-value for the objects in direct contact with the player until the engine sets all other knowsabout-values (which can take up some time). That way an item (e.g. ammocrate, door, etc.) is directly accessible at mission-start.
