What startup parameters are you using?

What in-game graphics settings do you have?

What graphics driver are you running?

Have you tried running the directX redist?

Is the program iehighutil.exe running in task manager?

What temperature is your cpu and gpu reaching while playing? (excessive heat can lead to throttling of those components and lower performance)

clear installation, when i start the game, the FPS is 32-33. when I start playing - decreases to 13 - max 19. The same happens when I alt-tab to other application during intro screen with settings (not playing). when i switch back it is in red numbers but in half second switches to over 30 again.

sampling 100 percent, all is standard, HDR/DL - low, visibility on max - but does not have any impact, caustic enabled, aniso - high, all other disabled. tried to change settings of GPU but - maybe very low to none improvement.

driver is the latest one 314.22

no i have not tried (if i install redist from 2010, does not it screw my original directx 11.0?)

no, it is not running

i had had this game since original alpha and this problem started with beta installation, so it should not have anything with overheating or startup parameters or driver. I used to be on high graphic setting without any problem.

temperatures seem to be ok

Change shadows to standard or high to force them onto the gpu. if your gpu is overloaded (use gpu-z to check) swap back to disabled or low.

Don't set the overall visibility to over 1500.
PIP should be set to low.
turn VSYNC off.
Turn FSAA off.
SSAO standard or disabled.

-------------

Add this to the launch options in steam(right click the game in your library and choose set lauch options...)

-nosplash -skipintro -world=empty -exThreads=7 -cpuCount=4

Some people with quad cores have found better performance with setting cpucount to 8.

-------------

run DXSETUP.exe from the arma3/DirectX folder. It won't revert you to an older version, itll just ensure you have the latest installed. DX9 and 11 are separate.

try the 320.49 drivers. http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/win8-win7-winvista-64bit-320.49-whql-driver-uk.html

-------------

Try defragging the disk drive that has the game on it. windows deafrag will work fine. Piriforms defraggler is also nice.

-------------

If all else fails delete the game and download from scratch. (defrag again afterwards).

And can you upload a .rpt file from the last time you played please (AppData\Local\Arma 3\).

uploaded. After further testing it seems that the problem is caused by uneven distribution to cpu cores. even with cpucount=4 or 8 from 8 max 4 are working, one of them on 100 percent, the rest some more.

I see in your rpt file arma3 is using your onboard Intel HD Graphics 4k, not your NVIDIA GeFORCE GT-630M. This could be the reason for your poor performance.

Not sure what to suggest, you need to force it to use your nvidia device. Try disabling the intel device in your bios, perhaps?

That is strange because until installing BETA, everything went well with Alpha. Probably more people are having the same problem with NVIDIA graphics. What I found out is that GPU is working - confirmned from 2 separate GPU monitoring programs - there is a visible load in graphs, so there should not be a problem.

I have to run my game on Max to have 40 FPS then it starts Dropping to +-10 and i have to turn it to low. AFter a while the FPS drop's start again and when i max everything out again it runs smooth with +-30 frames.... I have to continue this process during the entire gameplay. Somthimes i can run it just fine whitout anny problems for the day.

This could likely be related to individual servers. Client fps is tightly coupled with server fps, unfortunately.

Well i dont play on servers.. witch is the interesting part on servers i have no issue's at all. Other people do but i dont have them.

My mistake, I totally forgot your problem is with single player.

Well Single player and Servers to. Servers the entire server just lags out and ghoes selfdestruct. Single player ou get massife lag spikes and if you have bad luck Ur game just locks up or crashes. so idk what it is with A3 engine and GPU/CPU utilization but it sucks ass.
