Feature Request: Improved "Damage" Visuals on Buildings, Objects, and Vehicles when they are Hit

Currently, there is only one damage visual decal in the game--for bullets (its is a very bad texture and its almost unnoticeable).

I would like to see some real damage on vehicles, buildings, and objects when you hit them. A rocket or grenade should show visible scarring on a building, vehicle, or tree. Bullets should make much more noticeable impact marks on all objects, and dents and scratches on armored vehicles. Windshields should show bullet holes or cracking.

This is a small request that could make a big difference for immersion.

this is not a small request. It would be very cool, but it's probably not going to happen.

I disagree, I don't think that its very hard to add texture/damage decals to objects upon impact.

They are ALREADY doing it (bullet "marks" on some objects when you shoot them, and tanks/heli missiles cause huge pockmarks in the ground.

Sorry, I misunderstood you. I thought you meant something like Battlefield 4 where when you shoot a building with a tank or RPG it puts a hole in the building where you shot it, or the ability to C4 holes in walls and stuff. Properly done bullet holes are a different story - games been doing those for a good decade.

Mass closing ancient tickets with no activity for > 12 months; assume fixed or too trivial.
