Description

I was playing the new night time showcase with the dev build, and I went up to the lighthouse to plant explosives, and there was a group of AI standing around a fire. I saw them from afar and went up closer to see them better. When I got close enough, I noticed they were "dancing", but I realized they were stuck in some kind of animation loop. I got closer, and my character started to do it as well. It looked like the switch weapon animation was bugging out. Anyways, I backed off, and my guy stopped "dancing", but the AI continued. I realized that once I got within a certain distance, my guy started "dancing" along with the AI. This was not the first time this happened, however.

I have a recording from a while ago that I recorded form a multiplayer game. I didn't submit this bug then, because I thought it was an issue with a mod or unofficial script or something, but now I see it was something with the game itself. I have no mods installed or scripts running when I played the Night Showcase(or ever).

Sorry about the quality, but I don't know how to upload it in its original resolution to youtube. You should be able to see what is going on though.

Before I submit this, I will try the night showcase again to see if it happens again. Results: I just started the night showcase and ran straight up to the lighthouse, and they were not dancing this time.

Also, just to be clear, I am not pressing any buttons except alt for looking around, and the movement keys(wasd), as well as using the mouse.

I have some more info: My friend and I were playing the combined arms mission and the apc blew up next to us. He started laughing and told me his guy was freaking out. I asked him what was happening and he just told me his guy was bugging out and moving his arms weird. So I asked him if my guy was doing it, and he said yes. I didnt see my guy doing anything strange, or his character. I asked him if my guy was still doing it and i walked away from the wrecked apc. He said they stopped bugging out("dancing") as we moved away. So I gathered some more info:

  1. the bug is clientside, so in multiplayer, 2 players might not see the glitch happening.
  1. It has something to do with either car wrecks, or the fire(I think the fire).

I have a hard time reproducing this. If anyone would have exact repro steps or a save game that would be sweet.

@dazhbog That is exactly the bug I am talking about, just for clarity. Notice how it starts as he approaches the wreck(fire)?

Should be fixed in latest dev version. Please check.
