Do you have to restart pc after this issue or is graphic driver recovered?
Do you have suitable power source for your graphic card?
Can you try please install latest graphic drivers? Usage of drivers cleaner before installing new drivers will make sure you have no corrupted drivers left on computer.

I have to restart pc after crash because my screen diplay "no signal".
I installled lasted driver for my graphic card but no change.
All other games installed on my computer have no problem (arma2, battlefied3,...).
No problem on my power (900w gold)

Sometimes I can play 10min and sometimes the game crash after 2 seconds!
Regularly arma 3 crash when I press on "abort" or even in editor mode.

Can you try in dev version? You can activate dev version in steam.
Right click on Arma III in your Steam Library>Properties>Betas>development build

It looks like hw issue. Do you have overclock of your graphic card? Do you hear sounds, when you have this black screen?

I never overclockek my graphic card.
Yes I hear the sound few second during the black screen and after nothing.
I have to make an hard reset....

I switched HDR quality to LOW and the problem has been solved !

The black screen also shows up on my system somtimes, Alt-tabbing out and in solves the problem. This problem occurs 2/10 games I play with ArmA 3.

I have similar problem. Randomly my video card crashes. The gamę goes black and comesback again but no anti aliasing is turned on. Im albo not Able to use mouse after this happens. Only keyboard works. I do overclock my card though but it's stable when testing with stress software and never have problems with any other game
