Would be nice to have this. either that or add an option to pack a different uniform. I hate sticking out like a sore thumb.

This applies to all weapons.
I know only the SDAR is able to fire under water, but it should still be possible to aim the other weapons. Maybe have a click sound, and maybe even a shot of like a meter, or whatever.

the shot would be way less than a meter with a common gun and you there should be the risk for the gun to literally blow up in the attmpt to fire it.

@sgthalo
I'm not sure but i think you can pack uniforms in a backpack already (worth a try)

@OP
Agreed, would need a suppressor attachment and be able to fire even without a wetsuit

On the other hand holding a weapon (e.g. assault rifle etc) in your hands underwater while trying to swim would be a farce UNLESS you had flippers, it’s hard enough to use an almost neutrally buoyant spear gun without ANY flippers underwater.

Next time you at a swimming pool try swimming with a house brick in each hand with cloths on and some boots or use some of the other “items” used in swimming lesions that you recover from the bottom of the pool, but remember you need one for each hand and should hold them in a similar constraint as you would a weapon like an assault rifle.

This is intended behaviour and it is this way because of reasons already described by b101uk. Aiming and firing underwater while swimming without fins isn't easy at all, so we decided to disable this possibility.

There are no plans for changing of this behaviour at this moment, but I leave this ticket open (and assigned to me) so you can discuss and vote for this.

Not a bug, but intended, due to flippers not available separately instead of shoes and rebreather not available as backpack.
