The ability for the pilot of a helicopter to drop a rope down from the helicopter for deployment of troops would be a nice addition to the game and would give the players more freedom in terms of helicopter deployment.

Great, this needs to be done really.
I can imagine that once the pilot is in the right height and is not moving he says "good to go" and the players will get the option to use a rope in their action menu, they select it and rope down.

That's a good idea, giving the passengers the ability to drop the rope instead of having the pilot have to do would be better.
