Items spawned in through the editor are not placed in the locations requested

When an item is placed on the map using the editor the item will not necessarily be placed in exactly the location requested. This may be up to several metres difference. As such, vehicles may be deployed off the edges of cliffs, half-in and half-out of buildings or in similar positions where they are instantly destroyed.

This may or may not be related to the way in which infantry cannot be spawned inside a building - although this might be something you have designed for.

Steps To Reproduce

Place a number of vehicles inside a town. One or more of these vehicles will be spawned in a position which causes them to explode.

make sure you are comparing your placement of items with "terrain textures" "on" an also the not textured layout of the terrain. this should give you a more accurate placement. like in arma2, the layout of the terrain non textured terrain does not match up with the textured terrain perfectly, resulting in misplaced items.

Have you tried to set the "Special" field from "In Formation" to "None"?

Unable to reproduce in the latest dev build.

Possibly due to grouping, as suggested by Ezcoo.

Since this ticket is very old and has not recieved any attention for a long time, I'll go ahead and close it. If the issue is still reproducable for you, please create a new ticket.
