1.Get a helicopter
2.Fly offshore
3.Hover still and lower yourself down to the sea level
4.go under the sea or get out, and your helicopter is a wreck

I m not sure i understand this, are you saying it's surprising that a helicopter doesn't work underwater or is this about how a little bird stops working when landing it with the skids in the water (engine NOT touching the water)?

It would be okay if the heli stops working...but underwater it suddenly looks like a burned out wreck.

The point is that the chopper is going down even if you contact the water only with one tire!
With a car you can drive into the sea and nothing happens until your engine block gets flooded.
