Aiming doesn't feel right
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

I've changed the settings for 2 days, but it's seems to me that the "aiming" resolution needs to be a little higher/sharper. Right now it feels blocky when I'm trying to be precise.

I wish there was a way to steady the aim further.

For this issue you comment on, I can only say that if mouse acceleration is set to OFF or too low (slider value doesn't seem to save in alpha apparently when its too low, perhaps indicative of the slider being incremental and not eh a linear value), then my aim seem to skip and it is very difficult to aim at anything precisely (like with Arma 2).

On the other hand, Welcome to reality! This is what its like in real life when u are aiming. Trust me.
Try some deadzone in options?

I have found maximizing the smoothing and enabling acceleration mitigates this problem somewhat. Perhaps that should be made the default setting, if the engine cannot otherwise be made to reduce this problem. It is kind of something that's always been around in these games, but it seems the more stuff the computer is doing the worse it gets.

yeah i couldn't get the deadzone to adjust for my mouse... maybe another bug, or a TrackIR complication

Deadzone doesn't work properly as the mouse sensitivity is too high inside and not high enough outside.
Should be same for both

It worked fine in ARMA2 so why is it so screwed in ARMA3!?!?!

I found that messing with the mouse smoothing level fixes, needs some testing while messing with it though
