We need dxdiag and files from this folder to solve your problem. C:\Users\<Name>\AppData\Local\Arma 3 Alpha\

Can you upload it somewhere in winrar package please?
If the package is smaller than 5,000k, you can attach it here. Thank you.

I uploaded those files for you.

Ive been having similiar mulitplay only game freeze issues. I believe I fixed the issue using the developers advice. update to the latest sound and graphic drivers using CLEAN INSTALL or use a driver's cleaner software. this DID stop the freezing, but in its place is a random lag that comes and goes. much better than the freeze. edit: i think the freeze is gone now to!

About every other time I join a multiplayer game, the game will freeze after loading mission assets. The freeze occurs on the loading screen right after selecting a squad and the assets progress bar finishes loading.

I have updated sound and video drivers, re-installed game and issue is still happening.

prochy.. simply updating your drivers may not help.. U need to go to your graphics card website and download the most current driver. not an update. when u go to install you driver dont click "recommended" hit "custom" there should be a check box for "CLEAN INSTALL". im not sure if u should uninstall ur old driver first..maybe someone else can help. but i know just simply updating didnt help me either

I did do a clean install of drivers and it did not work but for anyone who is having the same issue as me i found a workaround in another thread here is what you do

Ok, this works for me everytime.
Once you have done it once, you may have to revisit steps 1 through 3 if it crashes again.
I literally just played a 4 hour session of Wasteland without and issue as well.
Before I couldn't play for even 30 min.
Also this seems to improve the speed of the server browser, as well as other parts of the game.

  1. Turn on Hidden Files and Folders in Windows
  2. Navigate to: C:\Users\*username*\AppData\Local
  3. Delete the folder labeled: "Arma 3 Alpha"
  4. Open Steam
  5. Right Click Arma 3 Alpha
  6. Click Properties
  7. Click Local Files
  8. Click Browse Local Files.
  9. Right click Arma3.exe
  10. Click Properties
  11. Click Compatibility
  12. Check the "Run as Administrator" box
  13. Click OK
  14. Run Arma 3 from steam, or from exe.
