Takes too long to run out of air
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

If someone without a rebreather goes underwater, it takes far too long for them to run out of air. It might have just been a bug, but it took a few minutes for my character to die from Asphyxia.

Voted up and believe this should be looked at. However keep in mind that (some) soldiers are trained to be able to hold their breath for long periods of time.

stoped the time...after one minute vision got really blurry and dark...at 2 minutes...you are dead.
think that is okay if you are a little trained/fear of drowning.

I die after 2 minutes. Death by hypoxia would probably take about 1-5 minutes depending on things like your lung capacity/heart rate etc.

I don't think this is a bug, unless it took over 5 minutes?

Uh. 2 minutes is fine. You don't fucking die holding your breath for 2 minutes <.<

After 3 minutes of LACK of oxygen, you're likely to get brain damaged, not dead.
And when you hold your breath, you're not lacking oxygen. You have an internal air tank to use up first.

takes way to long to run out of air

It would also be nice to know how much air you have left in your Oxygen tanks. I might have missed that detail so if you know a way to see it feel free to tell me. Also when we are going deeper into the water there should be some sort of pressure on the character, you could stimulate this by changing the way you hear things and how fast you lose your breath.

This issue was processed by our team and will be looked into. We thank you for your feedback.

Please keep the issue monitored to see when it is fixed.

Unit is able to hold breath for shorter period of time now. Should be fixed in next dev update.

Mass close.
