Feature request: Stance indicator
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

It's very hard to keep track on which stance you are currently in, after fiddling with it for a while. An optional stance indicator would be greatly appreciated!

This would be great! Even a very minimalistic one. Doesn't have to show the whole character as others do.

It would even be helpful for something along the lines of like 8 (or however many stances there are now) white bars on the side of the screen. And say if you are standing all 8 are full. Go down one level then 7. Minimum laying no bars are full. Just a possible idea to create an easily identifiable and not very spacious indicator.

Could be a small silhouette of a soldier in prone, crouch or standing with either an up, down, left, right arrow to indicate stance adjust for that posture. A dash or nothing at all would indicate no stance adjust for the current posture.

Would be good if it can be enabled/disabled as menu option.

Something very similar is in ACE2 for A2, so you can inspire there.

I agree with this BUT we need an option to turn it off if we want to AND the indicator needs to be small, and out of the way.

Perhaps put it up in the top right where the rest of your information is for your weapon.
Plenty of room to fit a tiny stance indicator in that box!
