Does it only happen with ArmA 3 or other games as well? If it happens with other games as well it's more likely to be your system's fault rather than ArmA 3.

To help with this issue it would help a lot if you uploaded the DUMP Files, which can be found at;
C:/WINDOWS/Minidump

Also DxDiag would be helpful, to get this:

  1. Open the Windows Start Menu and in the Search Field, search for "DxDiag".
  2. Start DxDiag.exe and then click Save All Information and save it as a Text file.
  3. Upload it here.

Note: DxDiag does not contain any private information other than the name of your computer. Whether you find that private or not is up to you to decide.

DUMP and DxDiag uploaded, it only happen to ArmA3 and ArmA2(never happened after 1.60)
in the third time that was a { Fault Module Name: nvwgf2um.dll }
maybe it's related to my video card, I'm rolling my Graphics driver back to a early version now, and see what will happen...

Crash 030513-11918-01 was caused by PCIIDEX.SYS which is the PCI IDE Bus Driver Extension which might indicate harddrive corruption.

Download a program such as HD Tune Pro and have it test your Harddrive. If it comes out clean it might be related to your GPU.

Use a program such as eVGA Precision to monitor your GPU Temperate while playing ArmA 3. It's fairly common for Nvidia cards to reach high 70 or low 80 degrees celsius in very demanding games so don't get too worried. My good old 8800 GTX went over 100*C when running FurMark but still functioned just nicely!

I'm too inexperienced in reading DUMP Files to rule out the possibility that ArmA 3 might have been the cause.

As for the nvwgf2um.dll crash, reverting to 306.97 seem to have fixed this for most people.

Edit: Please don't post the DxDiag like that, it makes it tedious to scroll through posts and you had already uploaded it ;)

I'm pretty sure that my hardware is 100% fine, but the situation is getting stranger: {Fault Module Name: StackHash_0a9e}

it happened twice, after I update OS, the {Fault Module Name} is back to {arma3.exe}, again

but few minutes latter, another crash with this information:

should I upload my new arma3 crash dump? because during this two hours, arma3 just crash again again and again...

http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=18053

This guy had the same crash as you, though for ArmA 2. But the Fault Module were the same; tbb4malloc_bi.dll.

And for him it turned out to be temperature issues. I'd still recommend you to make sure your system isn't overheating. Not only to potentially solve this crash but also to save your system from permanent damage.

this nvwgf2um.dll looks like Nvidia driver's issue. Is you GPU overclocked?
Please update to the latest sound and graphic drivers using clean install or use a driver's cleaner software.

Please let us know if that helped

I tried 306.97 and 314.14, I tried completly remove all diver and clean install, but no difference...
My cpu is overclocked to 4.2, I did nothing to my gpu
cpu's highest temperature is 54 Celsius, gpu is 71 ( 19 minutes until crash)
and I uploaded my latest arma3.rpt

Might want to reset all overclocks you have made, anything you can rule out is a step forward.

I set my cpu to original state, still crash
(I even tried to set A3 to standard and low and 1000m, still crash)
maybe the only thing I can do now is patiently wait :)
really, I tried everything except re-install OS, anyway,good work BI!
A3 is amazing, much much much better then A2+ACE+$@#$mods, and at least I can play for 10 minutes... not too bad actually :P

I had the random 5-30 mutiplay play time freeze and often. I took the advice of the developers and did a CLEAN INSTALL of my nvidia driver. now instead of crash/freeze I experience heavy lag but then normal again! so thanks developer..wonder what the heavy lag is now. Hope i did a clean enough install. freeze is fixed, thanks! but like i said every 5 to 30 min instead of freeze it lags

noc9109: is the game crashing in SP during showcases or is the game crashing only in MP? What missions/mods are you playing? Have you tried the official Arma 3 MP missions?

game crash randomly in every mode, but crash faster in mp( means I may be able to play sp/editor for 15 minutes, but if I play the mp game, game will crash average under 5 minutes)

What missions/mods are you playing? Have you tried the official Arma 3 MP missions?

Everytime you encounter a crash, please provide again these files mentioned in HOW TO GUIDE and please state, where you encountered the crash. Thank you
