Issue Description:

I have a Xbox series x and I can join a game play but when I plug in my standard xbox chat communicator the game dashboards. I have never had this issue before. Just to test I leave the head set unplugged I have no issues. Also when the headset is in the audio for people talking is broken up. I used a different chat headset and it still happens and a different controller. I have uninstalled the game twice and reset my internet.

I have this same problem on xbox series x/s. When i plug in the standard first party xbox headset the game crashes to dashboard. If I don't use mic game works fine. I have reinstalled the game, checked connection, reset modem and reset xbox.

I have the same problem!!
have you solved it?

@Geez you might wanna check this one before next Stable release
Also, seems to only affect chat headsets afaik.

It will be fixed but give them some time. It’s a known issue. A fix is out there but which build it is has not been confirmed. Might be a few more weeks. Stay patient

It is not listed under "Known issues".

Did you get confirmation elsewhere?

I was told by a dev. But I take it with a grain of salt. I did hear that the Wired Headphones from Xbox ($59) one works. But I agree you shouldn’t have to spend money for a game to work.

I find it very odd that this ticket is not "Confirmed Internally" at least, if so.

Same thing is happening to me! I have tried 3 different mics now and it is the same every time, my original genuine Xbox mic, a brand new genuine mic and a new Turtle beach mic crashes to dashboard in less than a minute no problem when mic is unplugged.
This really needs sorting as a mic is needed for this game and the problem at least needs acknowledged by the makers of the game.
Why does this affect only some Xbox and not others??

Xbox series X
Game downloaded 10th Jan 2025
Mic: x2 genuine Xbox

x1 turtle beach all wired type

I'm not an admin, but the issue is acknowledged and Confirmed Internally, as you see on the Ticket status.
I am using a wired headset (HyperX Cloud3) with no issues.

I assume all your headsets have been chat-type headsets, with only one speaker? Like these:

My fear is that this will never get sorted as it seems to only be happening to a very very small amount of people!

Anyone know the percentage of affected xbox's??

Yes all wired single headphone type

I hear it's ok with wireless but I'm not going to spend even more money just to experiment

Yes, understandable. Note that the issue seems to only affect wired headsets with one headphone.

It will very likely be fixed, don't know when though.
Hopefully next update release.

Fingers crossed!

Thanks for answering ☺️

I wonder if it's a stereo/mono issue as it only affects single headphone type mics? Clutching at straws as I know F all about programming lol

Are you other guys on here all using single headphone mics??

I using single headphone mics.

I've had this problem for months now. Do we have any answers from the developers??

I gave up in the end and purchased a wireless 2 headphone mic in the end, I have had no problems since so that seems the only solution at the moment I'm afraid, who knows how long it will before the makers sort it.

Also works with wired two-headphone, usually.
Yes, hopefully we get a fix coming soon.
