[FEATURE] Add immersive weapon handling mechanics from Escape From Tarkov
Feedback, NormalPublic

Description

Game Version number: 1.2.0.124
Modded?: No

Issue Description:
Feature request to add in the authentic and immersive weapon handling mechanics from Escape from Tarkov into ArmA Reforger or ArmA 4.
The features are

  • Checking magazines to check ammo count and ammunition used
  • Check the chamber to see if the gun is loaded
  • Checking the fire mode of the weapon (to see if the firearm is in full-auto, burst, etc.)
  • Canted optics (like the PK-06 on the side of the gun)
  • Ability to switch optic reticle
  • Mag packing (also in DayZ Standalone) (mentioned in T183253)
  • Increased emphasis on tactical flashlight usage in combat via darker interiors and blinding effect

My wish for these features is the ability to reduce the number of HUD elements as possible and fully immerse players in a military simulation.

Use of flashlights indoors for hypothetical combat, canted optics, and reticle switching

Additional Information

I would like to point out that Escape from Tarkov has excellent gunplay and weapon-handling mechanics, and I feel the developers can take a lot of inspiration from it and improve upon the infantry combat in the ArmA series.

It seems the weapon mechanics shouldn't be too hardcore for those interested in ArmA as Escape from Tarkov has quite wide appeal despite being very in-depth and hardcore in its mechanics.
