[1.2.0.76] Spawning certain vehicles with AI causes the game to crash

Issue Description:
When spawning in certain vehicles with AI in a single player Game Master scenario, it causes the game to crash.

Here are the following vehicles that cause crashes (crashes only occur when the simulation is paused):

  • Soviet UAZ-496 with PKM
  • All FIA UAZ-469 vehicles
  • FIA BTR-70
  • All civilian S1203 Minibuses

Steps To Reproduce

Reproduction Steps:

  • Load into Game Master (single player)
  • Make sure the simulation is paused
  • Spawn in the listed vehicles with AI crew and/ or passengers
Additional Information
  • The AI are spawned by the Game Master before they are placed
  • I have only tested this in Game Master (single player)
  • Certain vehicles have crashes depending on where is AI is spawned. For example, the listed armed vehicles have crashes when the crew are spawned (driver and gunner), while the listed unarmed vehicles have crashes when the passengers are spawned

Hello Commander_Falcon.
We have not been able to reproduce the issue on our end.(
Can you please provide the following info?:

  • Video/Images
  • Is this happening on a server or in single player?
  • In what mode does this happen? (GameMaster etc.)
  • Do you spawn and place the AIs into the BTR-70 (as GM) or do you recruit them and command to get into the BTR-70?

appears to be fixed in 1.2.0.92.

however, there is a new undesired behaviour where certain vehicles now spawn without gunners when the game is paused -- see T182945: [1.2.1.76 Experimental] certain vehicles spawn without gunners when game is paused

This issue seems to have been resolved in the 1.2.0.92 update, so this ticket can now be closed.
