A valuable update. I was just on an official server again. Ran three identical tests.

1. misplaced the wire. After 0 minutes 40 seconds it disappeared.

2. the same again. This time it disappeared after 1 minute and 15 seconds.

3. last test. This time it lasted 4 minutes and 4 seconds before it was "deleted".

EXCEPT: You can stand on the wire, jump over it like a fence and it is purely a decorative item. I recommend - like fire - to let it radiate damage when you approach it. Otherwise this wire makes no sense at all in this condition. Test carried out. April 2, 2024 1810 Vienna time.

I've noticed this as well. At first I thought it was just because someone hit it, as I've accidentally drove a truck into one piece and it destroys all the wire that is connected to that piece. But recently I witnessed the wire disappear with no one else around. I've never been able to climb on top or jump over the wire though.

And I agree about taking damage of some sort if you brush up against it. Maybe no damage but you should get cuts that you have to bandage up would make more sense.
