Binocular Head Sway conflicts with TrackIR Input
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Wearing TrackIR head movement input system and using the ARMA Reforger binoculars, binocular head sway (eg. ARMA Reforger fatigue system) is far too aggressive, making the binoculars unusable while wearing/utilizing the TrackIR input system.

It is very likely, the ARMA Reforger current head sway function is exponentially being duplicated/magnifyied by TrackIR input. Whereas users without TrackIR input are lightly impacted by the current head sway function, users of the TrackIR input system are likely unable to play with the current head sway function.

Steps To Reproduce
  1. Within any non-modified game, use binoculars alongside TrackIR input.
  1. Try to take notice of the far too excessive head sway.
Additional Information

Using/activating TrackIR (F7) precision, slightly helps, but nowhere near solves this problem. TrackIR F7/Precision is designed for reducing head jitter. ARMA Reforger head sway function is intended for users not wearing head tracking hardware, providing randomized sway for simulating head sway, whereas TrackIR already integrates realistic head sway.

Another option, removing TrackIR head gear, may temporarily subside the head sway, however completely breaks game immersion.

Suggested workaround: If a player is using TrackIR, either completely disable head sway for binoculars, as TrackIR will already integrate this function, or significantly decrease head sway with binoculars. My suggestion, completely disable head sway for TrackIR users, as head sway is already integrated.

Hello rogerx.
TrackIR is currently not officially supported. Therefore there are no plans to work on input changes of TrackIR.
