Can’t log into experimental (Connecting Failed).

Still can't log into Experimental servers. (connection failed0x00020009). Please provide an update

0x00020009 error still after hours of trying different accounts, Mac resets, uninstalling and reinstalling

I think he might be talking about the experimental servers since there are only mnk servers… if he’s one of the few lucky ones able to join a server why not point out existing problems with mouse and keyboard?

Just keep trying to connect, eventually it does, it might be a pain but it's experimental and if you can't handle that then maybe stick to the stable branch

Agreed, it just released with major changes and people get their undies in a wad trying to get on when it's possibly much deeper than a 1 hour fix.

From someone who works in networked systems, this isn't a patch issue. The fact that people have the EXACT SAME game version and others can play where others can't is a telltake example of incorrect server setup. - That's done server/host side via live changes, not patching.

And for a studio who has worked on this system now for 8 years they should have a MUCH BETTER IDEA of what TO do and NOT to do when rolling out changes and server configs.

The fact they haven'y said a single WORD since in 2 days is actually terrible supprt given half the playerbase cannot play, it's literally an urgent issue if not resolved could eaily worsen, and could even roll over to Stable of enough neglect is given, and i certainly don't think it's acceptable only half the playerbase can play where the others outright cannot connect to a server, no matter what they do oir try client side.

Just because the place you worked in had said setup doesn't mean Bohemia has so that tells me your not very experienced enough.

Also it does not matter as to how long Bohemia has worked on DayZ as they are adding new engine features with ARMA Reforger and then DayZ is getting them slowly but surely so bugs are expected, it's called EXPERIMENTAL for a reason so again you are showing me lack of competence for someone who should have a high standing in the IT field.

Do believe it's a Xbox bug. It happens on stable servers too and on insurgency sandstorm.

Lol none of the code from Arma Reforger is being used in Dayz, Dayz uses it's own sub version of the Enfusion engine. Once again you move your fingers but nothing of sense comes from it.

P.S: Networks are the same setup regardless - server racks containing domains and networked hubs featuring lots of cables. It isn't cellular, they're basic network/domain systems with associated CPU/RAM partitions, linked to storage drives that's cached on a seperate network. You just pull data, from a network. The game in basic terms, is your interface to access that. And again, since some people can play and others can't, outright cannot play. (Others including myself haven't been able to connect once) is a clear sign of a network fault.

Same issue when trying to join servers (Xbox X) but if I try and join my mate who can get on it says I don’t have an X/S version of game which I had no problem before this update

@Geez I would like to chime in that i was able to connect after many failed attempts. Steps to i took to solve the issue:

1. Close game
2. Restart xbox
3. Launch experimental
4. Select the exact server that my character was last in.
5. Fixed?

But when i launch exp and first select a server which would normally trigger my a prolonged timer due to server hop i get the error and then i am unable to join any server after that including the correct server. Hope this helps you guys in killing this bug

Disgraceful support, pay for a game and Connor even play it. Multiple friends having same issue on regular servers connecting to AP servers - when is this going to be fixed?????????

Geelong, Vic, Australia. I never have network issues. Internet bandwidth and speed is very good, many people in different areas than me having the same issue. It allows me to enter EU servers, Community Servers, but it just gives me “Server unreachable” for every single official AP server. Going on nearly a week now I cannot play the game and I’m not the only one. This is not on EXP - just regular.

I’ve tried everything recommended and nothing fixes it, same with some of my friends. We are basically about to just delete the game and move on

Just to make sure, do you experience the 0x00020009 error as originally reported in this ticket? Because now you are posting a different error code in your latest comment.

Also we just checked the logs and it does not appear that there are any log attempts by Spit Tha Gawd name for the last two days.
If the login time you have provided is from today or yesterday, then there is a possibility this is a problem on your network and your connection is somehow blocked/limited.

Can you please do a traceroute towards the following IP? 128.0.114.32

I’ve had the same error code the entire time, along with the same message. Apologies if I’ve picked the wrong thread to report it, it was the closest to the issue I could find.

I’m pretty sure it’s nothing to do with my network, as every other online game I’m playing works totally fine, internet runs perfect..No speed issues, zero issues to report across 5+ other online multiplayer games I’m actively playing.

I can play on EU servers etc, I can play on community servers..Just any AP server gives me this error code and message. I’m not the only one it’s happened to as I’ve found a bunch of threads online of people complaining about this being a big issue, plus multiple friends having the same issue from different networks in different areas. A lot of them have had different fixes work, some are still going through the e pain I am. My NAT type is open. I’ve deleted the game and all saved data, power cycled, checked my router settings, can’t see how it could be an issue on my end. And to clarify, this is not on experimental, it’s on AP official servers.

I may have to stand corrected. I tried hot spotting from my phone and it instantly let me in the servers. So it appears I cannot enter AP servers using my home wifi - any ideas on a fix for that? It’s just happened randomly, was always able to play before this has happened in the last month

Since it appears to be an issue related to your network, unfortunately there is nothing we could suggest. Also we suggest using wired connection as wi-fi is generally not recommended for online gaming, especially network heavy as DayZ.

I’ve had the same error code the entire time, along with the same message. Apologies if I’ve picked the wrong thread to report it, it was the closest to the issue I could find.

Please create a separate report next time as your issue is completely unrelated to this ticket.

To add to the above.
You need to allow the communication through your router (ideally for whole console or DayZ client app) and then it should work okay.
Problem is each router configuration is handled differently depending on model and manufacturer so we can't help with exact setup.
If you cannot do this yourself it would be best to contatct your internet service provider.
