[Feature Request] Improve the Moon and Stars, maybe add planets too.
New, NormalPublic

Description

They are pretty important to navigate yourself while you're straying the map. I would say there are some ways to improve them and provide more possibilities to navigate without map and compass.

  1. Have the moon while noon.
    • It is very known that the moon is also pretty visible while the sun is still up. If the moon is still visible in daytime it also can provide some info for the players.
    • Fig 1 (date == [2035,1,14,8,22]). You can barely see the moon in Fig 1 - this is, I'd say, not “realistic”. It even disappears completely after the sun raises more.
  2. Have better sun/moon movements.
    • The sun/moon don't move smoothly. This is really visible when we have fast simulation speed. (Fig 2)
  3. Have stars with more colors (Red to blue, not only white)
    • Stars IRL often have some colors but stars in Arma 3 are only white. (Fig 3, pic from my old Scenario “Stargazer”. note that Betelgeuse IRL is red, Rigel is blue)
    • If they are defineable in the world's config, nice, maybe?
  4. Having planets around the Sun
    • Even though there was an experimental a while ago (https://twitter.com/KarelMoricky/status/1219193573926690816), planets IRL are really visible and iconic in day and night skies. Could be useful, or maybe not to navigate if one has enough knowledge how they behave.
    • If there is a possibilities, should be configurable too?
  5. Add Milky Way too, maybe
    • This is nothing more than “cool” but if there is a good Mikly Way depiction especially in very dark nights, is very nice.
    • Maybe this could just be a UV sphere with a texture.
