When using a mixture of KB + Mouse and Controller controls. Talking over direct chat using LB (Controller control) and then using a keyboard control at the same time will switch the chat to radio.

Steps To Reproduce
Example (Steam Deck):
- Set steam deck to use normal Xbox controls, while setting the right touchpad and gyro to mouse control.
- Switch to direct chat using LB..
- Start broadcasting on direct chat by holding LB.
- While broadcasting look around using the touchpad and gyro as mouse.
Result:
Chat switches from direct chat to radio chat forcing the user to bind a Keyboard control for direct chat (in this case T) in order to be able to talk on both radio and using direct chat.

could this be due to the Select Direct/Radio Talk keybind also being bound to another key that you're using?

No my push to talk for controller is set to LB, and my push to talk for keyboard is T. Simply moving the mouse while holding LB is enough to switch it to radio mode.
Also I have not rebound any of the controls in game, so this is a moot point in any case.
