Hello everyone.
Please restart your steam client (not necessary if you are using steamcmd) and try to verify/download the files again.
It should work now.

Regards,
Geez

Hello.
How exactly are you downloading the files?
we will need following info:

  • if via steamcmd:

steamcmd launch parameters which you are using for download of server data

  • if via Steam client

screenshot of DayZ Experimental Server > Properties > Betas window

Steam client. Windows Server 2022
Steam account was freshly created last week.

I just tested from my laptop and it's working OK there.

Hello Nate_LapT.
Does the steam account with the problem own DayZ? Or have you tried to just download DayZ server data without actually owning the game on that account?

one more thing you can check is available licenses for the account you are using:

How to:

  • Turn off Steam client
  • Go to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam"
  • Right click steam.exe > Create shortcut
  • Right click steam.exe - Shortcut > Properties > Target:
  • Write -console behind steam exe path so it looks like this

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steam.exe" -console

  • Click on OK
  • Double left click on steam.exe - Shortcut
  • In Steam client app click on CONSOLE
  • To command line at the bottom of the window write
  • Licenses_for_app 1042420
  • Press Enter button
  • Copy listed info from the console window and send it to us

The account does not own the game.

I just used SteamCMD and was able to get the mission files.

I'll try the options above later today when I have time.

Still not working for me. Have used the same method since 1.0 was released. The account used does not own DayZ. I get everything except the 'mpmissions' folder

//update DayZ EXP Server
@ShutdownOnFailedCommand 1
@NoPromptForPassword 1
force_install_dir C:\DayZ\Servers\EXP\DayZServer
login <redacted>
app_update 1042420 validate
quit
Did the console in a steam client. Is shows "No active license found for appID 104420"

Thank you, we are currently going over this

Switching the account used to one that owns DayZ allows you to get the mpmissions folder, so it seems that folder is restricted to game owners only now.
