Progress wheel still visible after disabling HUD via keybinding (EXP 1.18.155001)
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The recent EXP patch 1.18.155001 fixed the issue where prompts on items or objects were still visible after disabling the HUD via keybinding, but the progress wheel is still displayed.

  1. Disable the HUD via keybinding (HUD still says enabled in options menu)
  2. Do something that displays the progress wheel, such as eating food, drinking or using a bandage.

I think many people would like too see both options:

  • a complete disabled HUD including all widgets
  • a disabled HUD, but the action prompts and loot for example is still visible (as it is now on stable, even if it was implied by accident, I really like that way (maybe remove the "check pulse" widget too) and I have nomore the need to constantly switch the HUD on and off.).

Agreed, I wouldn't use it personally but there should definitely be a middle ground option between a simple on/off, surprised it wasn't a thing already tbh. Maybe these bugs will end up being a good thing and inspire the devs to add it :)
