Rubber Slugs do not cause correct shock damage on 1.12 Experimental
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

According to the change log rubber slugs should cause extreme shock damage at close range, but the reality is that you need to hit with multiple slugs at close range to knock out a player. This is actually worse than in 1.11, so something seems to be off with the damage calculation.

Hello Beavis.
We have tested this issue throroughly but we were unable to find any problems on our end. Which body part have you been hitting? As limbs will produce much lesser shock damage than for example head, which is instant knock out.

Geez

I have not met another person on Exp since I wrote that so I have not had an opportunity to test it...

If you have not noticed any problems I am ready to put it down to bad hits, or possibly missing due to lag. As far as I’m concerned you can close this ticket.

I was interpreting the change log: Any rubber slug would knock out, too.
I had one encounter in the 2. exp patch 1.12. I was hitting a guy 2 times with rubber slugs about 3 feet away.

He was fighting infected so his shock value was raised already. And I was able to sneak up on him while he was still fighting an infected. I hit him 2 times on his chest. He tanked and was able to run away.

Maybe the changelog entry "gauge rubber slug deal extreme shock damage at close range" could be changed for the stable patch in: "gauge rubber slug deal more shock damage at close range"
