Ultra Wide Resolution - Inventory UI Bug
Closed, DuplicatePublic

When hovering over inventory items or items on your Equipment bar, the text description box is misaligned and clips off the edge of the screen on both 2560x1080p and 3440x1440p resolutions making item descriptions unreadable.

Operating System
Windows 10 x64
Operating System Version
Steps To Reproduce

Set resolution on an ultra-wide monitor to 2560x1080p or 3440x1440p and mouse hover over inventory items, the text box will appear on the far right of the screen and will clip off the edge leaving the description unreadable.

Can also confirm this happens on multi monitor setups ( 3 x 24 inch) 5760 x 1080).
Seems to work ok if item is held in your hands or on the ground.

It would appear that the information panel is a set distance to the right of the item been inspected, If the item been inspected is any further to the right of the mid point, then the info. panel is progressively clipped the further right, the item is inspected.

Example an item in hands displays ok, 1st Primary weapon clips slightly, 2nd primary clips slightly more, getting progressively worse until you reach the item furthest to the right (Helmet) which clips the most.

My suggestion is to bypass this issue until it is fixed by setting a non-ultra-wide resolution on DayZ and running it in Windowed-mode.
This issue might also be related to an issue I am having also occurring on 16:9 ratios where moving/dragging items in the inventory also exhibits the same effects.

Welcome to the club :(

So this UI bug has been a known issue and present for over a year?

I did not think when buying a UW monitor I'd have issues like this on PC games, console ports maybe but PC is the primary platform.

@Geez didn't answer me in that ticket
May be it's not known issue for devs...
