Gunter 2 and Hills
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

The Gunter 2 car can't even traverse up hills that, well. You'd be able to push a car up in real life. It's a bit, well. Bad. I'm sure it's not intended that way, but if it is, I respectfully have to say that it's not a good way to balance a vehicle.

Find roads in the game that go up hills, one in particular is the road outside of the gasstation at Elektro, the Sedan spawn in that location can't even traverse up that hill. And it's a relatively shallow incline.

Hello smith.sargash.
Does this also occur when holding down SHIFT together with W? As shift adjusts the throttle as well (while holding down shift, the vehicle goes full throttle, while using W only the vehicle will not use its full power).

Geez

The title is actually wrong, this is more of an issue with the Gunter 2, not the Olga (Haven't driven that.) And I sincerely apologize. Haven't actually used shift, but, that's honestly silly that a car has some sort of turbo boost?? Anyways I'll have our driver know about it. Then provide more info. Thank you for the response.

Yes man, even when the shift pressed the Gunter can't climb hills, I have confirmed that myself.

Rather than turbo boost, the design choice is to have control over the vehicle throttle (since it is not possible to adjust the amount of throttle on keyboard just like you would with analog trigger on a gamepad).

Hello ParanoiaLP.
Could you provide a video example of how steep hills does the vehicle have issue with?

Geez

Ya we haven't been on in a grip, video coming in tomorrow. Would it not be better though to have the vehicle be full throttle by default, and make the shift key throttle down to half? That just seems like a better choice to me.

Okay having tested it on hills, it's still pretty bad. 3-4KM going up some shallow inclines. Even the ADA is still kinda slow on full throttle. It's not impossible though, but. I think the cars just need a bit more traction. Also do ruined wheels actually do anything? I seemed to have had MORE traction going uphill with ruined wheels then my friend who was following me.

Car physics in this game are weird... For example road between Nadezdino and Kozlovka is near impossible climb with Lada (4x4), Golf and Volha will be impossble imho.
