Steps To Reproduce
- Eneterd same public server as I usually do - it is night time.
- I am in pitch darkness
- I long press L - confirm NVG are equipped in inventory view of my character - confirm batteries are not flat
- No night vision
- Equip my rifle with 1PN51 scope attached. No night vision when I bring rifle up. I double check battery. It is not flat.
- I check integrity of game files - no change.
- I increase brightness - grey screen
- I move around in game, I can hear myself moving.

So a little extra information today - managed to get onto the server during daytime and same problem. Pitch black. Also black screen when I enter the game at the beginning (where you see your character and get the option to play).
I have tried removing helmet, balaclava and eye glasses - no change. I have already verified my installation.
I then tried changing my video settings and my main menu screen appeared! Went into the game and my main menu screen appeared again (wtf). But I could still hear my player moving about.
Checked my video card drivers - all up to date. I suspect a reinstall is on the cards but if anyone has any further suggestion I would appreciate you sending them my way.

Hello everyone.
It appears that the cause of the issue is actually a combination of Hardware Antialising and Ambient occlusion being set to either medium or high. Can you please confirm?
