Basebuilding in vanilla needs some more attention.
The ammount of tools currently needed and time needed to invest into making any base is severely outweighed with how easy it is to totally destroy said base.
It deters people from making bases at all.
Even if you build it in the most remote places , once found it's easy to get in . By people using tools or methods not intended or boosting.
The values need to be changed to help players out a little .

I feel that a having tools like a sledgehammer and a chainsaw be the only tools that should be able to break into a base.
If using a sledgehammer , the time should be high to break in. Also ruining the tool. Per wall.
Chainsaw extremely rare. Needs a fair amount of fuel .can break in faster. But is extremely noisy and liable to break . Either needing . New spark plugs. Replacement chain etc etc

Atleast this way it stands a chance to reduce griefing. Bases are still raidable . But it's going to take some planning
