When you go unconscious especially as a solo player infected just attack and don't give you a chance to get back up so you end up dying to infected most of the time if you go unconscious.
I think if you tweaked the infected so that when a player goes unconscious infected no longer attack that player because they appear to be dead.
When the player awakens from unconscious state they will be surrounded by the idle infected and will be given a chance of surviving unconscious state even as a solo player.
