Memory Leak
Need More Info, NormalPublic

Description

Memory leak appears present when exploring the map.

When first launching the game, it utilizes less than 2000mb of memory, once in the game and exploring for a short while, it will reach 3000-4000mb. After about an hour of repeated travel, that number will reach 5000+mb. At that point, the game becomes incredibly unstable and can crash at any moment. I have been restarting the game when I reach around 4500mb of memory usage to prevent crashes.

Memory leak/usage seems correlated to exploring the map. If I stay in the same area, the memory usage does not rise to unstable levels.

This is a massive issue which includes probably hundreds of players. I also created a ticket here and tried all the stuff you are talking about.

The issue is in place since 0.63 update was available and hasn't been patched before and after the release took place. I don't know if it is a big deal for you guys or not, but the issue is critical and is expected to be solved as soon as possible.

I looked and I did actually have a custom pagefile size, so I went ahead and set that to system managed to see if that will make a difference.

As pointed out by Alex above, though, this is a widespread issue that has been present for some time.
